Description
ErSO-DFP is an anticipatory unfolded protein response (a-UPR) activator. ErSO-DFP has enhanced selectivity for estrogen receptor alpha-positive (ERα+) cancer cells with a wider selectivity window than ErSO . ErSO-DFP displays antitumor activity against MCF-7 in mice. ErSO-DFP can cross the blood brain barrier .
Biological activity
In Vitro ErSO-DFP (0-100 μM, 24-72 h) exhibits cytotoxicity in ERα-positive cells, IC50s for MCF-7, T47D, TYS and TDG are 17 nM, 16 nM, 7 nM and 9 nM, respectively. In Vivo ErSO-DFP (5 mg/kg, iv, once weekly for 3 doses) exhibits antitumor activity in MCF-7 xenograft mouse models without significant toxicity.
