Description

Vicadrostat is an aldosterone synthase inhibitor (IC50=48 nM). Vicadrostat can be used for research in kidney diseases and cardiovascular diseases.

Biological activity

In Vivo Vicadrostat (0.05-0.1 mg/kg; p.o.; twice daily for 5 days; once daily for 5 days) with once daily dosing of 0.1 mg/kg sustains aldosterone lowering effect over 5 days, whereas twice daily dosing induces counteractive aldosterone synthesis leading to loss of effect on daily aldosterone levels in macaca fascicularis.
